Giant Springs State Park Montana

Giant Springs Heritage State Park is located near Great Falls, Montana. The location was discovered during the Expedition of Lewis & Clark in 1805. The site holds one of the largest fresh water springs in creation.

The Montana spring flows at close to eight billion gallons per hour and remains at a temperature of close to fifty-four degrees. The spring has been dated as being around three thousand years old.

Every year nearly one-quarter of a million people visit this beautiful Montana state park. The view of the area is spectacular and breath-taking. Many look in awe at the power of creation displayed at the location. Bird lovers will also find a variety of life in the area.

The Rainbow Falls Overlook is located nearby. A visitor center as well as the fish hatchery is another family favorite for those visiting the Montana area. At the hatchery, over one million fish are raised annually.

Giant Springs Heritage State Park is a great place to tour, learn about history, take in the beautiful landscape, and have a family picnic. The park is open through the week from 8 am to 5 pm; the visitor center also offers educational features and video presentations for all to enjoy!
