Ulm Pishkun State Park

The Ulm Pishkun State Park was created for visitors to experience part of the culture of Montana history. The park is an interesting place to visit in Great Falls and visitors can take their time viewing the area, seeing history, and hearing stories of the land.

The Montana State Park is located near Great Falls and it also holds a very large visitor center of six thousand square feet. The visitor center holds the Buffalo Cultures exhibition which many people enjoy. Nearby, there are hiking trails and beautiful cliffs flowing with Montana waters.

The unique culture presented at Ulm Pishkun State Park is seeing how the buffalo was a part of Montana life. Teepees were made from the buffalo as well as clothing articles. The bones were used to make useful tools during the times. Every part of the buffalo was used for man’s existence many years ago.

Visitors to the area will enjoy learning about how history was formed, taking in the beauty of the area, and learning of Indian cultures as well as their history of existence. Another interesting part of history visitors will learn about during their visit is the Buffalo Jump, where compact bison bones will be viewed near the cliffs.

Montana is one of the best places to come and learn about the history and culture which once existed. The area is visited by thousands every year. The history of the area is rich and will not disappoint those with a desire to learn more.
