Montana Museums: Big Horn County Historical Museum

The Big Horn County Historical Museum is located in Hardin, Montana. The location offers twenty-six historical buildings for public viewing. The museum also offers a visitors center.
The museum is a place to walk through and see different exhibits from past history. Each exhibit comes to life through a collection of important artifacts as well as photographic collections.
Visiting the Big Horn County Historical Museum is pleasurable and historically rewarding to individuals as well as families. The museum also offers special programs which help bring education to things of the past.
Tours are available at this Montana museum openly or privately. The location also offers a museum park location which can be used for special events such as wedding receptions and family gatherings.
The museum is open during May through September from 8 am to 6pm every day. Also, during October through April the Big Horn County Historical Museum is open from 9 am to 5 pm every day. Families and individuals alike can come and enjoy history year round!
During the month of May, Big Horn County Historical Museum offers hands on activities for children which include Indian Hand Games, setting up a teepee, making old fashioned ice cream, learning about churning butter, and much more educational events.
