The museum is open during May through September from 8 am to 6pm every day. Also, during October through April the Big Horn County Historical Museum is open from 9 am to 5 pm every day. Families and individuals alike can come and enjoy history year round!

During the month of May, Big Horn County Historical Museum offers hands on activities for children which include Indian Hand Games, setting up a teepee, making old fashioned ice cream, learning about churning butter, and much more educational events.
