Lake Flathead MontanaFlathead Lake is located in Montana close to the north-west corner of the state. The Montana Lake is one of the biggest natural lakes with fresh water located west. Flathead Lake is also deeper than normal and it is also considered one of the cleanest.

Many tourists visit Glacier National Park in Montana and then travel southwest to see the beauty of the Flathead Lake area. The lake is bordered by mountains and generally holds mild climates. Due to the mild weather, orchards grow products for wine production nearby. The area in Montana is also plentiful in apple trees, pear trees, plum trees and other vegetation.

Flathead Lake was once known as Salish Lake and is located near the Flathead Indian Reservations. The lake provides hydroelectrical power and irrigation to the surrounding area. This Montana Lake is also home to a variety of fish including trout, whitefish, and perch.

Visitors enjoy a spectacular view when visiting the Montana area near Flathead Lake. Many can visit the Glacier National Park and then take time to travel to the area. It is one of the popular destinations and it provides a breathtaking view!
